Pill cures the primal urge... |
| Magic
Pill serves up incredibly funky grooves with a hard rock edge. Add
some jazz influences, strong pop hooks, killer chops, tons of energy,
and look out! Magic Pill has arrived. This monster power trio has
a unique sound, totally new, but familiar at the same time. Look to
hear them on upcoming episodes of MTV's series "The Road Home" and
"Making the Video". |
| Accomplished
guitarist, singer, songwriter, Peter J. Beckett, founded the New Jersey
based three piece funk/rock band, Magic Pill. Their 1999 self titled
release includes 11 tunes, based in pop, layered with neck grooving
beats and 70's Shaft funk stylings - add on top Beckett's youthful
friendly vocals and jazz fusion guitar soloing and you've got this
record nailed. The band consists of Beckett, drummer Frank DiOrio
(solid as a rock with intuitive and perfect playing), and bassist
Peter Duncan. |
| The
band plays regularly around the Metropolitan NYC region. |
